Ingredients
Scale
Gather the fresh ingredients to create your own crispy cottage cheese chips – simple, healthy, and delicious! 1 cup of cottage cheese (preferably thick or drained)
- 1 tablespoon of flour (optional for extra crispiness)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried herbs (such as basil, oregano, or thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes for spice
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil (for drizzling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Cottage Cheese: Drain the cottage cheese to remove any excess moisture. If using regular cottage cheese, you can also press it through a fine mesh sieve or use paper towels to blot off the liquid.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the drained cottage cheese, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, pepper, and chili flakes (if using).
- Shape the Chips: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon or a piping bag, drop small amounts of the cottage cheese mixture onto the parchment paper, spreading them into small, thin rounds.
- Bake: Drizzle olive oil over the chips and bake them for 15-20 minutes, checking every 5 minutes to ensure they don’t burn. Flip them halfway through to ensure even crisping.
- Cool and Serve: Once golden and crispy, remove the chips from the oven and let them cool. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for later.
Notes
Ensure that the cottage cheese is drained properly to achieve the perfect crisp texture.
